Thinking of joining the Stockbridge Sinfonia?
We are devoting two Saturdays in May 2024 (May 11 and 18) to read through fun pieces to offer people a chance to get to know us better, determine their ability to perform at our level, and to think about joining us for the rest of the season.
Music Director Tracy Wilson will hold “Reading Sessions” of well-known symphonic music. These pieces have great parts for every instrument, including brass.
We are looking for players of all instruments, especially all brass and string players. We are not expecting you to have your part prepared perfectly or to make a commitment for the entire season. We just want to provide you with a great opportunity to join us for these two Saturday mornings and have some fun with orchestral pieces which most of us would otherwise not have had a chance to play.
Join us for both sessions or just one!
Please email our music director Tracy Wilson at musicdirector@stockbridgesinfonia.org to say you will be there!
Download your parts for each session using the links below, bring a music stand, and join us at Zion Lutheran Church, 74 First Street, Pittsfield, at 9:15 AM on one or both of these Saturday mornings (we will begin promptly at 9:30).
There is ample parking right across the street. We won’t have time to play all the pieces listed below completely; Tracy will select excerpts. We should finish about noon each day.
Music Selections (May 18)
NOTE: When printing out your parts, you may have to select “fit” in the print dialog box.
