The Stockbridge Sinfonia is always interested in meeting players eager to join the group, though our needs vary with programming and the current orchestra roster. At this time, we are especially interested in recruiting brass, oboe, and cello players.

The Stockbridge Sinfonia has been performing for more than 50 years —a milestone for a community orchestra that combines accomplished student musicians as well as professional and amateur adult players. We hope you'll contact us about joining as a member, a volunteer, and a supporter.

We do not require auditions for string players, but we expect a certain level of ability when you join us. We have selected excerpts from our previous repertoire for you to play through. Please use these excerpts as an assessment to judge your ability to perform with us. Then contact Tracy Wilson to discuss your background and possible openings in the orchestra.
